A cracked tooth shouldn't wreak your budget

Dental bills shouldn't be a guessing game. But most plans pay a percentage of a bill you haven't seen yet, then stop at a yearly cap. Advantage Copay gives you a set price instead.

Know the price first

Every service has a set copay at in-network general and pediatric dentists. Exams and cleanings have no copay. Even implants have a set copay.

No yearly cap

Many plans stop paying after $750 to $2,000 a year. Advantage Copay has no annual maximum.

One price, any age

Your price depends on how many people you cover, not their ages. No health questions, and you can't be turned down.

What you'd pay at the dentist

Your Advantage Copay share at an in-network general or pediatric dentist. Specialists in network give you 20% off.

SERVICE YOUR COPAY
Exams, cleanings, and X-rays $0 after your yearly deductible of $25
Filling $22 to $71, depending on size
Simple tooth pull $46
Root canal, back tooth $362
Crown $339 to $384, depending on material
Implant, the whole tooth About $1,800 to $2,200, depending on the parts used, placed by your general dentist

Deductible: $25 per person, never more than $75 per family. You pay it once a year, at your first visit, then just your copays.

Waiting periods: none for exams and cleanings, 3 months for basic care, 6 months for major care.

Common Questions

What does a family pay?

With Advantage Copay: $48 for two people, $65 for three, and $94 for four or more, however many kids you have.

Is there a waiting period?

For the Advantage Copay plan, exams, cleanings and X-rays are covered right away. Fillings start after 3 months. Crowns and other major care start after 6 months. Had coverage before? We may waive waiting periods.

Is there a deductible?

Yes. Advantage Copay's deductible is $25 per person each year, and never more than $75 per family. It applies to all care, including your first exam and cleaning of the year. Once it's met, you pay just your copay.

Do specialists cost more?

Your copays apply when you see an in-network general dentist or pediatric dentist. That's who you'll see for checkups, cleanings, fillings, crowns, and most other care. Your copay is the same set price every time.

A specialist is a dentist who focuses on one area, like an oral surgeon, an orthodontist, or a gum specialist. Copays don't apply at a specialist. Instead, in-network specialists give you 20% off their usual price.

Not sure if you need a specialist? Start with your general dentist. Most care can be done right there, at your copay price. Need help finding an in-network dentist? Call us at (800) 662-5851.

Are implants covered?

Yes. When an in-network general dentist places your implant, the whole tooth (the implant, the connector, and the crown) usually comes to about $1,800 to $2,200, after the 6-month wait. If you're sent to a specialist for the implant surgery, you get 20% off their price instead. Ask your dentist who will do each step.

Does my price go up as I get older?

Your age never changes your price. Rates change only when we change them for all members.

Do I need a medical plan with EMI Health?

No. You can buy dental on its own.

No guessing at the dentist

Book the cleanings. Fix the tooth. Know the bill before you go.
